STL PLUS Chota wading boot
The legendary comfort of Chota's wading boots has gotten even better with the addition of a cushy injected PU mid-sole. This lightweight but heavy-duty wading shoe features newly designed rubber Cleat Bases, which allow for the addition or removal of Chota's specially designed, case-hardened "STL" Cleats as wading conditions demand. Laying flush with the bottom of the "Dark Grey" Polypropylene felt sole, each Cleat Base is strategically placed, tapped and ready to accept "STL" Cleats. Unique "Micro-Screen" ports allow for rapid and complete drainage while blocking out scree. The leather upper is specially treated for water-resistance and - coupled with Chota's Exclusive QuickLace System - provides superior lateral support. (A package of 28 "STL" Cleats is provided with each pair. Required tools: 1/4" nut driver.) Thumbs up on STL PLUS Chota wading boot! I just got back from the river and I have never waded my river's slick round rock slimy bottom with such ease and comfort. I'm amazed at how well these boots provided traction as well as comfort.
I previously had a pair of Korker boots - nice boots, but I slipped a lot and also lost spikes quite often. The Chota boots are priced less then the Korker guide boots, but for me in my area work better! I recommend these boots.
