Guideline Alta Stocking Foot Waders
Guideline Alta Stocking Foot Waders

Alta Stocking Foot Waders by Guideline

Inspired by the advanced cuts and the phenomenal fit of some high end manufacturers of mountaineering clothing, these new waders add a new dimension to comfort and freedom of movement during fishing. While the earlier Guideline model “TechStretch” has earned a reputation for being one of the best fitting, light and well breathing waders on the market, the Alta carries the tradition further.

The unique cut of these waders brings unparalleled comfort during fishing. Made from a combination of Japanese and Korean fabrics, it has a WPR of 20 000 mm/psi. and breathes at 3500 g/m2/24h. The upper part of the waders has a 4-way stretch fabric in black color. Main wader is made in 4 ½ -layer Polyester material in Tarmac color with extra abrasion resistant heavy denier reinforcement over front of legs and seat. Smart solutions for extra movement in the crotch area and over the knees bring a freedom of movement yet to be matched in the wader business. STORM waterproof zipper by riri adds easy ventilation and comfort while getting in and out of the waders. Integrated belt and lightweight suspenders secure perfect fit. A laminated mesh-pocket on the right thigh holds extra spools of tippet or a spare leader for fast access. A further two, smaller chest pockets hold accessories, while the rest of the upper is kept clean. The gravelguards are equipped with heavy duty nylon zippers.

Item no. 50490-50502. Sizes: XS-XXL, a total of 13 different models to choose from. Color: Black/Tarmac.

Guideline - TechStretch Wader
Guideline - TechStretch Wader

TECHSTRETCH

Introduced on the market during 2004 these waders quickly got known for their exceptionally good fit. Today, TECHSTRETCH has become a favorite among experienced flyfishers as well as for most of the crew working at GUIDELINE. It feels like wearing a pair of pants and the breathability is the best we have ever experienced in a pair of waders. The well-proven TWIN SENSOR BI-COMPONENT membrane from Japanese manufacturer ASF, combined with a STRETCH TWILL fabric, improves the flexibility over the knees and the “butt” where it is needed. Besides, from being practical, TECHSTRETCH is probably one of the best-looking waders on the market.

DESIGN AND FEATURES

TECHSTRETCH has a fit that will give you a comfort second to none. It is slim, yet gives the flexibility needed in the right moment. The Stretch-Twill on the front of the lower leg and thigh protects against punctures and tear. It also flexes nicely under strain, like climbing up on a rock, or a steep riverbank. The back of the wader also has the same reinforcement to aid flexibility when bending over and to enhance resistance against puncture when sitting down.

TECHSTRETCH has a new, figure-shaped 5 mm Hi-D neoprene sock that will provide maximum comfort and strength against compression. The integrated gaiters have an elastic fast-lock closure that effectively blocks any gravel from entering the boot.

The wader is provided with both elastic and removable suspenders, as an elastic wading belt that is attached to the back with a height adjustable sleeve. This type of belt fixture ensures an individual fit to you height, which will improve the wearing comfort noticeably. On the front of the wader, there is a roomy inside pocket with Velcro closure. The pocket can also be accessed through a water resistant zipper on the outside.

Colour: Brown/Olive with Graphite Grey Reinforcements.

Available in the following sizes: XS, S, M, MK, ML, L, LK, LL, XL, XLK, XXL.

This means noticeably pre-shaped knee-areas. In the front of each leg is an extra fabric-layer offering great protection against punctures and tear accidents. There is an internal pocket accessible from the outside through a water repelling zipper. EXPLORER have built in gravelguards with strong elastic and hook to make sure they stay in the right position. The socks feature high density neoprene with an impressive insulating capability. Guideline Microstretch Wading Jacket
Guideline Microstretch Wading Jacket

MICROSTRETCH is made from advanced Japanese 3-layer stretch fabric with a WPR exceeding 15 000 mm/psi. The lightweight and tear proof material provides a high level of breathability and makes the jacket feel dry and comfortable against the body under most weather conditions. The outshell is made from 150 denier with a two way stretch, which improves freedom of movement radically. MICROSTRETCH has many features that would be expected from jackets way more expensive.

The water resistant YKK main zipper is made from rubber. This type of zipper makes the old type of storm and rain flaps on top of traditional zippers obsolete. This alone makes the jacket a lot smoother to wear. Two rubberized vertical zippers, one on each side of the chest, provide entry to two large inside pockets. Of course, there are also two large chest pockets capable of holding the largest Salar boxes. On the outside of each pocket, there are also extra tippet slots and under each pocket, there are hand warmer pockets. There are two hidden retractors under the pocket covers, ensuring easy access to nippers, while keeping them out of the way from flylines while casting. The arms have double closure. There is a Velcro closure on the outside and on the inside of the arm is a Spandex cuff that will keep any water away from entering further up the arm. The hood has an extraordinary fit and we nearly made our manufacturer go crazy before we considered everything ok. It is easily adjusted with a one-hand grip in the back of the hood. No more loose straps in the front around cheeks and chin anymore.

MicroStretch is made in a nice Teal color and it is available in sizes XS-XXL.

Wader Fleece Bibs, Guideline
Wader Fleece Bibs, Guideline

Great Fleece Bibs by Guideline - they keep you warm without the bulk

Layering is the key to stay warm and dry in cold water with breathable waders. Actually if you fish breathable waders you must use underwear that is made from synthetic materials or wool and definitely NOT a pair of sweatpants or similar..

Use a pair of thin, long underpants under our FLEECE BIBS and they will keep you warm in temperatures below 10 degrees, it’s important for your health. These bibs are made in 500 gram double side non-pilling fleece in top quality. They have practical features like adjustable suspenders, two-way zipper and a Lycra stirrup on the foot to prevent the leg to slip-up when you enter and use the waders. The high back of the pant provides added insulation and comfort. It also prevents any kind of gap between underpants and shirts to occur. This is a thick pant for use during low- to medium hard activity, designed to use in combination with breathable waders.

Midweight Stretch Top, Guideline
Midweight Stretch Top, Guideline

A warm, soft, stretchable and cool top that is a little thicker than the average first layer underwear. This makes it very allround and we feel this will become a favourite in the cabin after a days fishing as well as at home. A soft, comfortable micro fleece is covering the inside against the body and the outside is produced in a tight woven nylon stretch material that creates a tough non-pilling surface against the next layer of clothing. The high neck is of the right design and blocks out cold wind from entering the body that way. The top has slightly long arms and an extended back section to make sure it doesn’t slide up, exposing your back when fishing. A bestseller that will increase your comfort noticeably during fishing. Guideline Compline - Running Line

Guideline Compline - Running Line

This is the new version of the old FS Shooter by guideline. This one had a slightly intermediate density and shoots a mile, probably the furthest of all the Guideline running lines.

Our newest addition to the range is an old classic in a new, improved, technologically more advanced shape. This shooting line is solid, oval and slow sinking. It is known for being the most durable and dependable of the shooting line types. It stretches easily when you pull it and the line shows a lesser friction than most lines of similar type. It is also showing higher strength to the diameter than its earlier versions.

Midweight Stretch Pants, Guideline
Midweight Stretch Pants, Guideline

Comfortable pants made from the same nylon stretch material as the Midweight Stretch Top. The cut is on the tight side to produce a smooth surface without any uncomfortable creases beneath your wader. This pant is the perfect choice for normal summer fishing at temperatures above 13-14 C°. During the cold part of the year, it makes an ideal first layer pant that helps creating the very important cushion of air next to your skin. On top, we advice you wear a pair of GUIDELINE Fleece Bibs that will keep you warm even in the coldest of waters. The Midweight Pant has two side pockets and long legs to prevent them from sliding out of the socks and creating this annoying gap between the end of the sock and the cuff of the leg. Midweight Stretch Pant is available in black colour in the following sizes: XS-XXL

A classic shooting line preferred my many anglers because the line is easy to handle during practical fishing. LRL+ has a tough and slightly harder coating built around a braided Dacron core. It is floating and has almost no memory and is easy to use under all types of conditions.

ACT4 Guideline Fly Rods
ACT4 Guideline Fly Rods

Inspired by and projected from our own successful LPXe and LeCie rods, the new ACT4 Series sees the light of day after nearly two years of R&D.

The process has taken us through countless factories, before finally settling for the one we thought would have the skills to produce the most awesome rods in their price range.

The end result is impressive to say the least. We are confident anglers of all ages and skills will find these 4-piece rods not only worth the money, but also a joy to fish and grow with for a long time.

The design has taken advantage of advanced Japanese carbon cloths and resins. Components have been carefully selected and to be sure, we have used our own custom designed aluminum and wooden reelseats as used on our famous LPXe flyrods.

Actions in ACT4 rods can be described as being in the medium fast to fast range with a responsive tip that makes casting effortless and easy, without sacrificing accuracy or the ability to load the rod into the handle when needed. All rods are 4-piece and have been inspired by the award winning actions in our classic LPXe flyrods.

The blank:
Each rod has its own unique mix of carbon cloths depending on characteristics and the effects we want to extract out of each blank. This method aids in manufacturing blanks with a nice, lightweight, small diameter and a great fit. ACT4 rods are finished in a glossy Olive/Brown color with matching wrappings and trim. Each rod section is individually marked with the rod length and weight, to avoid mix-up of parts. This also helps when aligning your parts during assembly of the rod.

The handle:
Cork handles of seriously good quality for the price are finished with rubber cork endings for extra reinforcement and durability. Fighting butts are kept small, yet smooth and comfortable when needed for playing large fish. Handles for the two handed rods have a straight timeless look that is well proven from years of Scandinavian salmon fishing with the spey rod.

The reelseats:
Rods up to lineweight #5 are fitted with beautiful, light weight wooden reelseats with aluminium parts. The dark burled wood has a soft satin finish and matches the color of the blank superbly,

All other rods have our custom made GUIDELINE aluminium reelseats that are extremely light weight, good looking and saltwater resistant. Salmon rods are mounted with down locking reelseats to make sure the balance of the rod is impressive and correct.

The guides:
All rods with the exception of 9ft #8 and #9 rods are mounted with single leg hard chrome guides. Stripper guides are finished in hard chrome with gold insert, which is matching the golden olive color of the reelseats nicely.

The rod tube and bag:
Lightweight nylon covered tubes protect the rods during transport. Nice, soft rod bag makes sure they remain unscratched inside the tube.

Power Taper DDC Connect, Two Handed Floating Flyline by Guideline

Power Taper DDC Connect, Two Handed Floating Flyline by Guideline

The DDC CONNECT consists of an 9,5 meter main belly(Float or Fast Intermediate), that can be connected to three different Double Density tips: Float, Int/S1, S2/3 on the Floating Belly or Hover, S1/2, S2/3 on the Intermediate Belly. The reason for choosing an Intermediate main belly is that it carries the tips much better and that it handles wind and bulky flies with ease and the swing speed is much slower with a belly which is below the surface, even a little. This is an extremely good line to cast and it is easy to pull out of the water for a new cast. Conveniently, it also covers most encountered fishing situations without changing bellies

The main belly of this line is 44.3 feet which is trimmed to get the final length and weight.

These two lines cover most of the fishing you ever do. Choose between the floating or the Intermediate main belly and a set of three different density-compensated tips to vay your tactics. DDC CONNECTt is available in single hand from #6/7 - #8/9 and double hand in #8/9 - #11/12.

If you only fish one week a year this is the line for you!
