"I was interested in this Echo Legend
fly rod, but I didn't know of anyone who had one or tried casting one. The crew
at Lost Creek Fly Shop made an offer that I couldn't refuse - come by the shop,
demo the rod on Onalaska's Mill Pond and maybe catch a Triploid trout. So I did
just that. I was so impressed with this rod, that I bought it after catching a
dozen small rainbows and one nice 16 inch Triploid.
Conditions were a bit breezy but the
rod could handle the wind. The rod's ten foot length was really nice for casting
in a float tube or sitting in a boat. The rod was light, fast action, and
just what I was looking for - fishing lakes in a float tube, and then in the
fall fishing for Sea run Cutthroat, where there is always a chance of also
hooking a Steelhead (need a rod that could handle both - but I have a Spey rod
for Steelhead) but much more fun to catch a 16 inch Cut on a light
rod).
Bottom line, this is a great rod and
for the $, can't beat it!"

"Thanks Lost Creek Flies, I received my fly tying materials and new reel. Everything looks good. What I wanted to comment on was the nice surprice that you included inside. The free flies are great, I really appreciate the thought and plan on catching some fish with them.
I will order again soon,"

Just wanted to let you know that I received my new rod. Thanks for your good advice in helping me decide to get the Burkheimer. I went out and fished with it today. True joy to cast and it is so beautiful, a real work of art.
Love the flies that you sent along with the rod. What is the name of the that olive leach looking fly?
I will be coming back to order again soon.

Thumbs up on STL PLUS Chota wading boot! I just got back from the river
and I have never waded my river's slick round rock slimy bottom with such ease
and comfort. I'm amazed at how well these boots provided traction as well as
comfort.
I previously had a pair of Korker boots - nice boots, but I
slipped a lot and also lost spikes quite often. The Chota boots are priced less
then the Korker guide boots, but for me in my area work better! I recommend
these boots.
Thanks, Bob Neilson
Lost Creek - Thanks, I just received my new CF Burkheimer 14' 2"
rod. Very nice attention to detail and I really like the solid rod case and real
seat. When I rigged up and had the rod in my hand for the first time - all felt
prefect. It is so light and well balanced. I have a heavier 15' rod by another
company, but this rod feels so light I can single hand cast it if I want.
What I found useful to share and pass on is how quietly powerful this
rod is. It is a precision tool. I slowed down my casting stoke and only had to
form half the D-Loop to make an 80 foot cast. When casting further the rod says
"give it to me baby!" But don't over throw as this rod does the work for you. It
is an energy saver. I can fish this rod for hours and feel fresh!
Five
Star rating in my book - great job CF Burkheimer!
Thanks
for the free flies, J.L.
