Daiichi Fly hooks
Daiichi Fly hooks are the finest in the world. Here's why:
- They are made of the finest high carbon steel, which is hardened and tempered to an exacting formula that makes for a long point life and a very strong hook.
- Daiichi hooks use a 12-degree constant taper ground needle point. This eliminates irregularities in shape, assuring no weak spots, & gives amazing speed of penetration.
- We also chemically sharpen our hooks in a special bath that deburs their points.

Daiichi 1170- Standard Dry Fly HookFor decades the Mustad 94840 remained the standard dry fly hook. Daiichi introduced this hook as an improvement to the standard 94840. The advantages of our 1170 include high carbon steel for more strength and sharpness; chemically sharpened needlepoints for superior penetration and a smaller barb approximately 40% of the wire diameter. Available in bronze sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 (25 Count)

Daiichi 1180 Standard Dry Fly Hook1180 Standard Dry Fly Hook, Mini Barb
Shaped like the Daiichi 1170, the 1180 is a round wire hook (non-forged). It also features the Daiichi mini-barb, an impressively small barb that is nearly invisible to the naked eye. Minute barbs hold fish but allow easy hook-ups, plus they are easily removed. Many who "pinch down" their barbs prefer these hooks because they easily pinch down the barbs. The 1182 version of this hook features Daiichi's Crystal(TM) Finish which is a white, silvery plate. A fish looking up at a fly with a "Crystal Finish" hook will find that hook almost invisible, especially with the sky in the background.
Available in bronze (1180) Sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 (25 Count)

Daiichi 1260- Bead-Head Nymph HookDaiichi Fly Hooks - Curved Hooks - Bead-Head Nymph Hook
The 1260 hook was designed in 1995 by the Orvis Company and Angler Sport Group as a hook to use specifically with metal beads to make "bead head" nymphs. The shape of the bend and standard wire facilitates the use of beads with a smaller center hole. The curved shank gives flies a more aesthetically pleasing and natural look. They're also great for hoppers and terrestrials. Available in bronze sizes: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16

Daiichi 1270 Curved HookDaiichi 1270 Multi-Use Curved Hook
The york bend was developed by Daiichi to simulate a more natural looking curved hook. Many tiers feel that these curved hooks impart amore life like natural appearance in the flies they create. This 3X-long model is perfect for bead head nymphs, hoppers, and other dry flies. Caution - This is a standard wire hook only. Available in bronze (1270) Sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 (25 Count)

Daiichi 1530- Heavy Wet Fly Hook1530- Wet / Nymph Hooks - Heavy Wet Fly Hook
In the early days of fly tying and fly-fishing, "wet flies" were king. Dry flies and nymphs today are more popular, but wet flies, which are fished subsurface, are still very successful for catching trout, steelhead, and salmon. Wet flies do not closely imitate natural insects or bait fish, but give the impression of emerging mayflies. This hook is a "modern" version of the traditional wet fly hook. The heavy wire helps the fly sink and the extra strength makes this hook a great tool for steelhead and large trout. Available in bronze sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 (25 Count)

Daiichi 1550- Standard Wet Fly Hook1550- Standard Wet Fly Hook This is the traditional "wet fly" hook. Wet flies are time honored, successful, subsurface patterns. (see 1530) These hooks feature a more gradual curve of the wire in the transition from the straight shank to the bottom of the bend. This shape is associated with an early English hook-maker named Sproat and today is still referred to as a sproat bend. Dedicated fly tiers consider this as the proper bend to give wet flies their aesthetic beauty. Available in bronze sizes: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 (25 Count)

Daiichi 1560- Traditional Nymph Hook1X-long hooks are about "one eye length" longer than standard shank length. They are used for slightly longer wet flies, which give them a "truer to nature" dimension, considering that wet flies represent mayflies, which are long bodied insects. They are also a reasonable length for mayfly nymph imitations or wet flies featuring a bead head. Available in bronze sizes: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 (25 count)

Daiichi 1710- 2X-Long Nymph Hook1710- 2X-Long Nymph Hook Heavy wire, 2X-long hooks are today the most popular models used for tying flies imitating nymphs (The larvae of mayflies, caddis flies, and stoneflies). They also are popular for grasshopper patterns. Available in bronze sizes: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 (25 Count)

Daiichi 2220- 4X-Long Streamer Hook4X-long hooks are great for minnow imitations. The shank of the hook is the right length to create properly proportioned fish profiles. Some fishers complain that hook shanks longer than 4X allow the fish to use leverage on the shank to "throw" the hook simply by biting down on the shank near the eye of the hook.
Available in bronze sizes: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 (25 Count )

Daiichi - 90 degree Jig Hook - 4660The 4660 is a standard wire bronze jig hook with a 90 degree leg and a flat eye. European style float fishing re-kindled an interest in using jig hooks for flies suspended in a horizontal plane. The 90 degree leg allows the hook to "keel" so that it travels through the water with the hook point up, making them snag less often.
(Bronze) Round bend, straight wire, standard 90 degree length, flat eye. Uses: Jigs, Flies for Float Fishing
Used in fly pattern Meat Whistle.Sizes: 3/0, 2/0, 1/0, 2/0 , 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 10 Count
