Olive is a very effective Steelhead spring color. The Cowlitz river has plenty of sculpin and this fly is a great local sculpin imatation, and very effective during summer runs.
Note: this is a great fly to fish following behind other poplar patterns of black and purple. Also excellent for late summer and fall sea run Cutthroat.
