Description: Chris Tinder fighting a Winter Steelhead. The steelhead won the fight and came off! Chris had very good evening, she hooked 7 fish but the steelhead where camera shy so we did'nt get any pictures! Here husband Mike also so hooked two and they both where camera shy. Over all a very good evening!

Description: This was Victors' first fish of four this morning! He drove all the way from Kansas to fish the Cowlitz! He was using a Hardy Ultralite loaded with a Airflo 540 Skagit head, and Guidelines 35lb GL Shooter and a 12' of SA-12 that he barrowed from Lost Creek Fly Shop. A couple days before a fish broke him of at his backing so he lost a running line,skagit head,and a sink tip. He landed 3 and lost one.

Description: 2nd Steelhead of the morning. A shade darker than the first but still another 12 lbs of Winter Steelhead. Both fish where caught with a CF Burkhiemer 12' 8" 8wt and a SA intergrated 560 with 2' of Stroft 18 lb tippet, and a Sturbert Tandum Tube tied by Lost Creek Fly Shop. Both fish where netted by Jim.

Winter Steelhead
Description: 34" 14 lbs of Winter Buck. One of the best battles I've had in a while. Water temp was between 42 and 44 degres. Clarity was 3 to 4 feet, and the river flows are 9,000 cfs. Very fishable. Fishing the 8128 CF Burkhimer and a 560 SA intergrated line, really good line for this rod.
